Following the phenomenal showcase of this event in 2009, it has grown each year and attracted the amazing footfall of over 4000 families in 2010, we will be building on these strong foundations and learning from last year to ensure that the 2011 is even bigger and more successful. ‘I’m really excited about this year and Deven thinks it’s his party, so come along & join in the fun!’

The MATALAN Southern Baby Event & Family Day features alternative & independent brands, rare gems of clothing & unique styles from national and local exhibitors who can offer practical, friendly & sometimes vital problem-solving information and advice.

A fun family day out that gives you access to some fantastic parenting stalls selling some beautiful, much needed baby and toddler accessories, ‘Come on Mum’s we all know we can’t resist those gorgeous little items of clothing that make our little one look just adorable!’ Escape from the high street brands.

For those of us who like to be super-organised then it is a perfect way to make use of the ideal Christmas shopping experience and get some superb stocking fillers or that special little something that you just won’t find elsewhere!

The day hosts COMPETITIONS so everyone gets a chance to be a winner. Daddy’s, Uncles, Grandpas, Children even those ladies that dare enter our ‘Surfing Competition’ – the longest ride wins. Mummys, Aunties, Grandmas - anyone pushing wheels ‘Pimp Your Wheels’, jazz them up! Catch our eye and the treat will be yours!

Rare Moments Photography will be running studios in MATALAN stores in Brighton Sunday 4th September, Portsmouth on Sunday 18th September, Bognor Regis on Sunday 25 September, Waterlooville on Sunday 2nd October and in Fontwell House. Winning £250 Matalan Vouchers, bundles of prizes & a chance to star in Baby Hampshire Spring edition. The prizes are just too good to miss out on!

Sitting back and enjoying the laughter of your loved ones - you will be amazed at how easy it is to have fun. Have a go making bespoke pottery & jewellery with your prints or visit the Studio in Fontwell House for a group photo and create a lasting memory of your day.

When those hungry tummy rumbles are heard we have lots on offer to keep small and large appetites satisfied with the Sussex Hog Roast and stalls selling doughnuts, crêpes, paninis & jacket potatoes or bring your own picnic. Picnic table areas will be all over the venue so set up a base camp and watch your little ones have fun in this safe environment.
